常用疑問詞

問 why 通常用 Because… 回答。

語序一：疑問詞 + be 動詞 + 主詞

中文把「哪裡」放在句尾：「你的學校在哪裡？」英文卻一定把疑問詞放在句首，後面接 be 動詞，再接主詞。be 動詞要跟著後面的主詞變：單數用 is，複數用 are。

• Where is the MRT station?捷運站在哪裡？

• Who are those boys?那些男生是誰？

• How old is your cat?你的貓幾歲？

語序二：疑問詞 + do / does + 主詞 + 原形動詞

句子裡是一般動詞（like、live、go…）時，疑問詞後面要放 do 或 does，再接主詞和原形動詞。主詞是 he、she、it 或單數名詞用 does，其他用 do。回答時不用 Yes / No，直接回答問的內容。

• What do you want for lunch?你午餐想吃什麼？

• Where does your uncle work?你叔叔在哪裡工作？

• How many classes do you have today? — Seven.你今天有幾堂課？——七堂。

who / what 當主詞：不用 do / does

如果問的正好是「誰做了這件事」，who 或 what 本身就是主詞，直接接動詞就好，不用再加 do / does。現在式的動詞要加 -s，因為 who 當作單數。

• Who lives next door?誰住在隔壁？

• Who wants some bubble tea?誰想喝珍珠奶茶？

常見錯誤

• ✗Your school is where?
  ✓Where is your school?中文把「哪裡」放句尾，英文疑問詞一定放句首。
• ✗Where you live?
  ✓Where do you live?一般動詞的問句要有 do / does。
• ✗What does she likes?
  ✓What does she like?用了 does，動詞要回到原形。
• ✗How many money do you have?
  ✓How much money do you have?money 不可數，要用 how much。
• ✗How old are you brother?
  ✓How old is your brother?your brother 是單數，用 is；「你的」是 your。
