什麼時候用
lie（躺）不及物，後面不接受詞；lay（放置）及物，一定要接受詞。lie 還有「說謊」的意思，兩者三態不同要分開記。
常見錯誤
- 「躺下」是 lie down，不是 lay down（除非後面接受詞）。
- 躺的三態 lie-lay-lain；說謊的三態 lie-lied-lied，別混。
- lie 的過去式 lay 剛好跟 lay 的原形同形，這是最大的陷阱。
