什麼時候用
explain 是及物動詞，但它不能用「雙受詞」的語序：向某人解釋某事要說 explain something to somebody，不能說 explain somebody something。
常見錯誤
- explain me the rule 是錯的，要寫 explain the rule to me。這是中文語序直譯最常見的錯之一。
- explain about something 的 about 是多餘的。
- 名詞是 explanation；「解釋一下」是 give an explanation。
