未來式：will / be going toThe Future: Will and Be Going To

will + 原形動詞：「會、將要」

中文說「我明天去」，靠「明天」就知道是未來，動詞不用變。英文不行，要在動詞前面加 will，後面的動詞一律用原形。will 不管主詞是誰都不變，I will、she will 都一樣，也可以縮寫成 I'll、she'll。否定是 will not，縮寫成 won't。

• It will rain tomorrow.明天會下雨。

• My sister will be fifteen next year.我姊姊明年就十五歲了。

• I won't tell anyone.我不會告訴任何人。

• Will you come to my party? — Yes, I will.你會來我的派對嗎？——會，我會去。

be going to + 原形動詞：「打算、快要」

be going to 的 be 要跟著主詞變成 am、is、are，後面接原形動詞。它常用在兩種情況：一是早就打算好的計畫，二是看到眼前的跡象，判斷「快要」發生。問句把 be 動詞搬到句首，否定在 be 動詞後面加 not。

• We are going to visit Grandma this weekend.我們這個週末打算去看奶奶。

• Look at those dark clouds. It is going to rain.你看那些烏雲，快要下雨了。

• Is Amy going to join the basketball team?Amy 打算加入籃球隊嗎？

• I'm not going to watch TV tonight.我今晚不打算看電視。

will 和 be going to 怎麼選

國中考題多半兩個都算對；真的要分，就看是「剛剛才決定」還是「本來就打算」。

現在進行式也能說「已經安排好的未來」

如果時間、地點都已經約好、排好了，英文常用 be + V-ing 加上未來時間，意思是「已經說好要……」。重點是句子裡通常有 tomorrow、tonight、next week 這種時間詞，不然會被當成「現在正在做」。

• I'm meeting Kevin at the night market tonight.我今晚跟 Kevin 約在夜市見面。

• We are flying to Tokyo next Monday.我們下週一飛東京。

• What are you doing tomorrow afternoon?你明天下午要做什麼？

看到這些時間詞，就想到未來式

tomorrow、tonight、next week / month / year、this weekend、soon、in two days（兩天後）都是未來的訊號。注意 in + 一段時間在這裡是「再過多久以後」，不是「在多久之內」。

• The test will start in ten minutes.考試再過十分鐘開始。

• My cousin is going to move to Kaohsiung next month.我表哥下個月要搬去高雄。

• I'll call you back soon.我等一下回你電話。

常見錯誤

• ✗I will going to the library tomorrow.
  ✓I will go to the library tomorrow.will 後面接原形動詞，不能再加 -ing。
• ✗She will goes to Tainan next week.
  ✓She will go to Tainan next week.will 後面一律原形，主詞是 she 也不加 -s。
• ✗We going to play basketball after school.
  ✓We are going to play basketball after school.be going to 的 be 動詞不能省，中文「我們要去打球」沒有 be 動詞，英文要有。
• ✗I go to Kenting next summer.
  ✓I will go to Kenting next summer.中文靠「明年夏天」就懂是未來，英文動詞本身也要表現未來。
• ✗He is going to swims tonight.
  ✓He is going to swim tonight.be going to 後面接原形動詞。
