什麼時候用
spend 的主詞一定是人。花錢是 spend money on + 名詞，花時間是 spend time + 動名詞——後者不加 on，這是最常多寫一個介系詞的地方。
常見錯誤
- spend two hours doing something，不是 spend two hours on doing。
- spend money on something（買東西用 on）。
- 主詞是物的時候要換成 cost 或 take：The book cost me 300 dollars。
