什麼時候用
number 修飾可數名詞的複數。要注意兩個看起來很像卻動詞相反的結構：the number of（單數動詞）與 a number of（複數動詞）。
常見錯誤
- a number of students are（複數）／the number of students is（單數）——差一個冠詞，動詞就不同。
- 修飾不可數名詞要換成 amount：the amount of information。
- numbers of 沒有「許多」的意思，別跟 a number of 混用。
