anticipate
v.預期
to expect in advance
- anticipate doing,不是 anticipate to do;expect 才接不定詞。
- anticipate 不能接「受詞 + 不定詞」:expect you to come 成立,anticipate you to come 不成立。
- 名詞是 anticipation;in anticipation of 是「預期到…
- anticipate doing
- in anticipation of
- as anticipated
例句
We anticipated delays.

We anticipate having the results by Friday.

They bought extra supplies in anticipation of a shortage.
