什麼時候用
hope 後面接不定詞或 that 子句，不接動名詞。它跟 wish 的差別很重要：hope 講的是有可能發生的事，wish 講的是不可能或與事實相反的事。
常見錯誤
- hope to do／hope that，不是 hope doing。
- hope 不能接「受詞 + 不定詞」：想說「我希望你來」要用 I hope you can come，不是 I hope you to come。
- wish 後面的子句要用假設語氣（I wish I were taller），hope 不用。
