附加問句：…, isn't it?Tag Questions

前肯定、後否定；前否定、後肯定

附加問句就像中文句尾的「對吧？」「不是嗎？」。規則是前後相反：前面肯定，後面用否定縮寫；前面否定，後面用肯定。後面的主詞一律換成代名詞。句子裡有 never、no、hardly 這類字，也算否定句。

• It's hot today, isn't it?今天很熱，對吧？

• Your sister can swim, can't she?你妹妹會游泳，對吧？

• You aren't busy now, are you?你現在不忙，對吧？

• Tom never eats breakfast, does he?Tom 從來不吃早餐，對吧？

附加問句用哪個字

前面用什麼，後面就用什麼；只有一般動詞才需要借 do / does / did。

回答 Yes / No：看事實，不看問法

中文回答「你不餓，對吧？」時，「對」表示「不餓」。英文不是這樣：只要事實是肯定就說 Yes，事實是否定就說 No，後面的簡答要跟 Yes / No 一致。

• You aren't hungry, are you? — No, I'm not.你不餓，對吧？——對，我不餓。

• You aren't hungry, are you? — Yes, I am.你不餓，對吧？——不，我餓了。

• Ken didn't come, did he? — No, he didn't.Ken 沒來，對吧？——對，他沒來。

常見錯誤

• ✗She likes music, isn't she?
  ✓She likes music, doesn't she?likes 是一般動詞，附加問句要借 does，不是 be 動詞。
• ✗Your brother is a pilot, isn't your brother?
  ✓Your brother is a pilot, isn't he?附加問句的主詞要換成代名詞。
• ✗Let's play basketball, don't we?
  ✓Let's play basketball, shall we?Let's 開頭的句子固定用 shall we?。
• ✗You didn't go, did you? — Yes, I didn't.
  ✓You didn't go, did you? — No, I didn't.事實是「沒去」，英文要用 No，不能照中文說「是」。
• ✗He never lies, doesn't he?
  ✓He never lies, does he?never 讓前面變成否定句，附加問句要用肯定。
