什麼時候用
stop to V 是「停下來去做另一件事」；stop V-ing 是「停止正在做的事」。兩者講的是完全不同的動作。
常見錯誤
- He stopped smoking.（戒菸）vs He stopped to smoke.（停下來抽菸）——意思相反。
- 想說「別再講話」是 Stop talking，不是 Stop to talk。
