什麼時候用
deny 後面接動名詞，不接不定詞。這是它跟 refuse 最大的差別：deny doing 是否認做過（過去），refuse to do 是拒絕去做（未來）。
常見錯誤
- deny doing something，不是 deny to do something。
- 「否認做過」與「拒絕去做」時間方向相反，中文都可能翻成「不承認、不肯」。
- deny somebody something 是「不給某人某物」，跟「否認」是不同的意思。
