contribute 後面固定接 to：貢獻給某件事、或造成某個結果。注意這裡的 to 是介系詞，後面接名詞或動名詞而不是原形動詞。
常見錯誤
- contribute to improving（動名詞），不是 contribute to improve。
- contribute 也用在負面的事：contribute to the problem 是「加劇了問題」。
- 名詞是 contribution；「做出貢獻」是 make a contribution，不是 do。
