什麼時候用
attain 是「達到（某個水準或目標）」，受詞是抽象的高度：一個等級、一個年齡、一個成就。跟 obtain（拿到東西）的差別在於 attain 是「爬到」而不是「拿到」。
常見錯誤
- attain a visa 不成立——簽證是拿到的，用 obtain。
- attain 語氣正式，日常說「達成目標」用 achieve 更自然。
- attain to 是舊式用法，現代英文直接及物。
