An Email to My Pen Pal

Dear Yuki,
Thank you for your last email and the photos of the snow in Hokkaido. They looked like a dream! It never snows in Tainan, so my little brother wants to visit Japan right now. In your email, you asked me about food in Taiwan. I love talking about food, so get ready for a long answer.
The best place to try Taiwanese food is a night market. Most night markets open after five and stay busy until midnight. On Friday, my cousin and I went to one near our home. It was so that we could walk. First, we bought a piece of fried chicken as big as my face. It was hot and . Then we shared a bowl of shaved ice with mango on top. It was the perfect thing to eat on a hot night.
My cousin made me try stinky tofu, too. I hate the smell, and I usually walk away from the stand. But this time I was brave. To my surprise, it tasted , a little and not stinky at all! Now it is my night market snack. Maybe smell and taste are not always the same.
Next summer, my family is going to visit Osaka. Can you tell me some Japanese food to try? I want to eat real ramen and takoyaki. If you come to Taiwan one day, I will take you to the night market and buy you a big cup of bubble tea. Be careful, though. Once you start, it is hard to stop!
Please say hello to your family for me. I am looking forward to your reply.
Best wishes, Mei-ling
