The blue whale can grow to about 30 metres and weigh as much as 150 tonnes. No dinosaur was ever this big.藍鯨可以長到大約 30 公尺，重達 150 公噸。從來沒有一種恐龍長到這麼大。

It eats krill — small shrimp-like creatures only a few centimetres long. A blue whale can swallow several tonnes of them in a single day.牠吃磷蝦——一種只有幾公分長、像小蝦的生物。一頭藍鯨一天可以吞下好幾公噸。

Whales are not fish. They are mammals: they breathe air, they are warm-blooded, and mothers feed their babies milk.鯨魚不是魚，是哺乳類：牠們呼吸空氣、是溫血動物，媽媽用奶水餵寶寶。

How they breathe怎麼呼吸
Fish use gills to take oxygen out of the water. Marine mammals use lungs and must surface for air.魚用鰓從水中取得氧氣。海洋哺乳類用肺，必須浮出水面換氣。
Warm or cold blood溫血或冷血
Mammals keep their body warm from the inside. Most fish take the temperature of the water around them.哺乳類從體內維持體溫。大多數魚類則跟著周圍的水溫走。

名字有 whale 不代表就是鯨魚——鯨鯊（whale shark）是魚，只是大得像鯨魚。這是英文動物名稱常見的陷阱。
