學完你會：會用 was、were 說昨天、上星期「是什麼樣子、在哪裡」，也會問 Was it…? Were you…?
中文說「今天很冷」「昨天很冷」，「很冷」都一樣。英文說過去的事，am 和 is 要變成 was，are 要變成 were。看到 yesterday、last night、last week，就要用 was / were。
I am happy today. I was sad yesterday.我今天很開心，昨天很難過。
It was cold last night.昨天晚上很冷。
They were at the park yesterday.他們昨天在公園。

you 不管是「你」還是「你們」，過去都用 were。
把 was 或 were 搬到句子最前面，句尾加問號。回答用 Yes, … was. 或 No, … wasn't.（wasn't = was not，weren't = were not）。
Was it hot yesterday? — Yes, it was.昨天熱嗎？——是的，很熱。
Were you at home last night? — No, I wasn't.你昨晚在家嗎？——不，我不在。
學校考卷常出「am / is / are / was / were 選一個」。先找句子裡有沒有 yesterday、last night 這些過去的字，再看主角是誰。
