Typhoon Day

There is a typhoon today, so there is no school! The wind is loud, and the rain is heavy. My brother and I want to play outside. "No!" Mom says. "You must stay in the house."

So we make a little "house" with the table and some blankets. We eat noodles and read books in it.

In the afternoon, the lights go out. Mom puts a candle on the table, and we sit by it. We love it! "Can we have a typhoon day every week?" my brother asks. "No!" says Mom.
