by Green Club · Oct 2026

SAVE WATER WEEK: March 16 to March 20. Taiwan gets a lot of rain, but our rivers are short and fast, so much of the rainwater runs into the sea very quickly. In a dry year, the country can face a water . Water is , and every drop counts! This week, the Green Club invites all students to join our water-saving .

How can you help? At school, turn off the while you brush your teeth or wash your lunch box. Tell a teacher right away when you see a dripping faucet in the bathroom. Use the rainwater in the blue tanks behind the gym to water the school garden. At home, take shorter showers. Five minutes is enough! Run the washing machine only when it is full, and use the water from washing vegetables to water your plants.

Join the contest! Every class will get a water-saving card. Each day, write down one way of saving water in your class, and hand in the card to Room 105 on Friday. The class with the best ideas will win a pizza party and a in the shape of a water drop.

Special event: On Wednesday at lunch, Mr. Chen from the city water office will give a short talk in the school hall. He will show us how to find hidden leaks at home and explain the long trip of water from the mountains to our homes.

Saving water is easy, and it starts with you. Let's make every drop count!
