One Pink Sock

My father is busy in the morning. Today he gets up at ten to eight! He puts on his white shirt, his black pants, and his blue coat. Then he runs out the door.

At his office, people look at his feet and smile. "Nice socks!" they say. He looks down. His left sock is black. His right sock is pink, with little white rabbits on it. It is my little sister's sock!

At dinner, my sister is not happy. "Where is my rabbit sock?" she asks. My father's face is red.
