Lost at the Night Market

Last Saturday evening, my family went to Raohe Night Market in Taipei. It was very , and people walked shoulder to shoulder past the food stands. The air smelled of fried chicken, squid, and stinky tofu. My little brother Leo held my hand, and we walked behind Mom and Dad.
Then Leo saw a man with a big pink cloud of candy. He stopped and pointed at it. I looked at the candy for only a few seconds, but it was enough. Mom and Dad were gone. I turned left and right, and I only saw strangers. My heart beat fast, and I felt .
Leo looked up at me with big, wet eyes. "Are we lost?" he asked. I was scared too, but I was his big sister. I must stay , I told myself. Mom always says, "Stay in one place, and we will find you." We stood next to the cotton candy stand and waited.
The cotton candy man saw us. He gave Leo a small piece of pink candy and smiled. "Don't worry. Your parents will come back here soon," he said. Then he shouted to the crowd in a very loud voice, "Two lost kids at the cotton candy stand!"
After ten minutes, Mom and Dad ran to us. Mom hugged us very hard. Dad bought three bags of cotton candy and thanked the man again and again. That night I learned an important lesson. In a big crowd, a clear plan is your best friend, and a kind stranger can be a hero too.
