Join Our Beach Cleanup

by Blue Wave Club · Oct 2026

Have you ever walked on a beach and stepped on a plastic bottle? Every year, a huge of trash is washed up on our beaches by the waves. Some of it is left by visitors, and some of it travels from far away. Sea turtles and birds often eat plastic because it looks like food. We can't clean the whole ocean, but we can protect one beach. Will you help us?

When: Saturday, October 24, 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Where: Baisha Bay, near the bus stop. Look for the green tent. Who: Anyone who is twelve or older. Students under sixteen must come with a parent or teacher. What to bring: a hat, a water bottle, and comfortable shoes. Please don't bring plastic bags. Gloves, trash bags, and snacks will be .

What we will do: First, a scientist from the Ocean Center will give a short talk about sea animals. Then we will work in small teams. Each team will pick up trash and write down what they find. This will help scientists learn more about where the trash comes from. At the end, we will everything we can.

Every will get a certificate and a free T-shirt. Last year, more than two hundred people joined us, and the beach looked beautiful afterwards. To sign up, scan the QR code on this poster or email the Blue Wave Club. Do you know how many bottles you can pick up in one morning? Come and find out!
