A Red Envelope Hat

In my family, New Year is a big day. All my aunts, uncles, and cousins come to my grandmother's house.

We eat a big dinner with fish, chicken, and dumplings. Then my grandmother gives each child a red envelope. There is money in it! Red is a lucky color.

My little cousin Bobo is two. He does not want the money. He just wants the red envelope! He puts it on his head like a hat. We all laugh, and Bobo laughs, too. "Happy New Year!" he says.
